Today I’ll be talking with Laura Goos who is Mayor Pro-Tem of St. Joseph, Michigan. I’ve always been curious about how some small cities and towns are focusing on sustainability so that’s exactly what we are going to talk about today with the focus being on St. Joseph. For those of you who don’t know, St. Joseph is located in Southwest Michigan along the shores of Lake Michigan. It is about 90 miles from Chicago and has a population of about 8300 people. St. Joseph is known for its beaches, sand dunes, orchards, and vineyards making it a very important place to focus on sustainability.
